Welcome to Dangling Carrot Farm! Dangling Carrot is a small-scale produce farm, operated by Becky Barnes. I grow a wide array of vegetables, and specialize in onions, heirloom tomatoes, garlic, and greens. Located thirty miles south of Columbus, my farm is situated on several small, manageable plots. My mission is to bring delicious produce to market fresh for all to enjoy!

The name Dangling Carrot is derived from the iconic donkey following a dangling carrot. It is believed by some (including myself) that true happiness is being in the state of desire. Farming is a profession that invokes this sensation. Amid the constant struggles with climate and environment, I am ever motivated with the desire to produce. The successive process of growing and harvesting, resembles the donkey's plight to always follow that carrot before it's eyes. In this challenging, but rewarding cycle, I find contentment.

This continual effort should also be present in one's diet. Eating locally is an ongoing commitment to good living. So, follow your "dangling carrot" right to market! My fresh vegetables offer limitless possibilites for you to take home to your kitchen.
